Just a couple of months ago the city of San Francisco announced some ground-breaking news on the built of a new green transit center. According to Inhabitat, the ambitious 4 billion dollar project will aim for a LEED Gold rating with various green features.
One of those features will be a rainwater and greywater catchement system. Next to that, wind turbines, geothermal power and a massice rooftop park will be other not to miss features.
In addition to connecting more of the city’s transit systems and perhaps a long-south high-speed rail service, the new terminal is scheduled to be completed in 2014. The terminal will offer the city 5.4 acres of park with its publicly accessible green roof.
